PAMPANEIRA, BUBION AND CAPILEIRA

In the local environs of Finca La Herradura you will find plenty of places to walk, along the unmade track on which we are situated exploring further into our sheltered valley, or along the river, it is possible to walk for hours without seeing anyone, just the wildlife around you.
We are 8 kilometres from Orgiva the small pueblo where you can shop, then sit at the pavement cafes for a cold drink and tapas before returning to the seclusion of our farm. On Thursdays there is a good market to visit. There are good restaurants, we like Casa Robles, where the service is excellent. There is also a good Pizzaria with outside garden, where one can eat amongst the orange trees. The Hotel Taray is another favourite with us, you can choose to eat inside or the delightful patio where you are surrounded with tropical plants, its very romantic!
Please note: the shops will close for siesta between 2-5pm. it is advisable to do some shopping before arrival at the finca as the shops will not be open on Sundays.There are usually some restaurants open, and plenty of bars serving food.
A very popular excursion is to visit The Alhambra Palace in Granada approx.1 hour away. It is always best to book tickets in advance as the numbers are restricted
PLAYA GRANADA BEACH AT MOTRIL is 30 mins from Orgiva, and almost deserted in the winter months, when you will still need a parasol! From there you have access to all the beaches along the Costa Del Sol.
You may just come for total peace and relaxation, but there are all manner of things to do if you wish....golf, horseriding, parascending, cycling and much more, we will find the relevant information for you.
